About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Ad Platform BD to lead and optimize Roku’s relationships with key technology partners who power our media business. This role will focus on partnerships across identity, measurement, ad serving, verification, and other critical infrastructure that supports our advertising operations. A primary goal will be to reduce the cost of revenue (CoR) and optimize the cost of goods sold (COGS) while ensuring seamless business operations and high-quality execution.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of ad tech, programmatic advertising, and media monetization. You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Advertising Sales, Ad Operations, Product, Finance, and Legal to ensure we are maximizing efficiency and driving scalable, cost-effective solutions.

For New York Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $122,000 and $234,000 annually.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Partner Enablement & Management:
  • Oversee and optimize Roku’s relationships with key third-party partners in identity, measurement, verification, and ad serving.
  • Ensure partners are meeting SLAs and delivering high-quality services to support Roku’s media business.
  • Negotiate contracts to drive cost efficiencies and improved value for Roku.
  • Cost Optimization & Efficiency:
  • Identify opportunities to reduce CoR and COGS through improved partner selection, contract negotiations, and operational efficiencies.
  • Work closely with Finance and Operations teams to monitor cost structures and develop strategies to optimize spend.
  • Technology & Business Operations:
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of third-party solutions.
  • Identify gaps in our partner ecosystem and evaluate new vendors to support business objectives.
  • Work with Ad Operations to troubleshoot and resolve any issues with partner technologies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to align partnership strategies with broader business goals.
  • Work with Legal and Finance to structure agreements that balance cost, risk, and scalability.

 

We’re excited if you have

  • 7+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or ad tech, with a focus on identity, measurement, verification, or ad serving.
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising, programmatic ecosystems, and media monetization.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a track record of optimizing costs and managing partner relationships.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Operations, and Finance.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
