About the team

We are an experienced group of networking automation engineers who support automating and running networking tests for Roku streaming and IoT products. Team members partner with Software Developers to understand tests and implement scalable automation solutions that help test automation.

 

About the role

We are searching for a QA Engineer, Python Automation, to join our Automation group under the Networking team focused on Networking tests. Reporting to the Manager of Automation group, you will work closely with our Software Developers, to help support automation testbed setup, debug and identify automation and testbed issues, and run automation tests.

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $103,000 and $154,000 annually.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist the Software Engineering team in building CI/CD pipeline runner testbeds for software unit test automation.
  • Work closely with engineering-level teams to review existing documentation and test cases.
  • Work independently to maintain automation testbeds, investigate and troubleshoot any testbed issues, and run automation.
  • Attend weekly meetings to update project status.

 

We're excited if you have

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA), specifically in Automation, Wi-Fi, and BLE areas.
  • Python automation experience is required.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Raspberry Pi systems.
  • Familiarity with common Wi-Fi/BLE technologies.
  • Familiarity with GitHub CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, logical, and results-oriented skillset.
  • Analytical mindset, project management-oriented, deadline-driven, and process-oriented with a solutions-oriented composition.
  • Experience working with engineering to triage and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
