About the team

The Discovery product team’s mission is to transform Roku from the gateway to entertainment to the ultimate destination to be entertained right in our UI. To achieve this mission, we build experiences that are simple, helpful, and entertain our users right in our UI.   

 

About the role

We are seeking a product management intern to lead the exploration and recommendation for using animation and motion engage and delight users directly on Roku’s Home Screen. In this intern role, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to learn about how animation is used today, what opportunities exist, and develop a strategy and recommendation for future iteration.  

 

What you'll be doing

  • Learning and research: Learn, explore, and document how Roku uses animation, video, and motion on the Home Screen today.  
  • Stakeholder interviews & alignment: Meet with business stakeholders across the organization to explore opportunities for using animation. 
  • Product Strategy: Define the strategy for how Roku should leverage animation and motion capabilities, including a policy document. 

 

We're excited if you have

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science or a related field. Due to graduate in December 2025 or later.
  • Experience in product management tools and concepts either in a learning institution setting or from previous internships.  
  • Curiosity and desire to learn through research and data-driven practices. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
