About the role:

The Sports Merchandising Associate will be a contract member of the Content Merchandising Editorial team as we revolutionize the leading OTT platform’s content ecosystem. You’ll work on exciting sports content and product projects for Roku’s O&O sports and third-party events. Do you have an obsession with sports? Do you know the sports streaming landscape? Are you super organized and detail-oriented? This job may be for you. We’re looking for someone who thrives under deadlines and has experience in a newsroom-like environment. We need an associate who can use data, research, and editorial instincts to help propel Roku’s sports merchandising. They will collaborate cross-functionally between marketing, business, and engineering leads.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Day-to-day management of the sports content calendars.
  • Work cross-functionally with other groups including Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Product, and external partners.
  • Analyze data to optimize performance and provide valuable insights.
  • Manage various content projects from updating content experiences to working on the Super Bowl, NBA Playoffs, and Roku’s O&O sports events.

 

We are excited if you have:

  • Strong love of sports and how it fits into the broader TV landscape.
  • Experience with Sports, FAST Channels, and Live TV.
  • Experience in technology and CMS platforms.
  • Passion for content and tested solid editorial judgment.
  • An adaptable and positive attitude.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a strong, clear communicator.
  • Comfortable with content analytics and making data-driven decisions.
  • Thrives with working in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Ability to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed.
  • 3+ years’ experience in the digital media space.
