Eligibility:The Sweepstakes (“Promotion”) is open only to natural persons who are legal residents of the United Kingdom or European Union, who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Employees of the Organizer (as defined below), prize providers, and each of their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies, agents, divisions, and/or representatives as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee, are not eligible to participate. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the authorized account holder of the e-mail account or social account used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. Organizer may request any potential winner to provide proof that such person is the winner.
Organizer: The Organizer of the Promotion is Roku, Inc., located at 1173 Coleman Avenue, San Jose, CA 95110 (“Organizer,” “Roku”).
Timing:The Promotion Period begins at Friday, 4th October at 8:00am CEST and ends at Friday, 4th October at 11:30am CEST
How To Enter:
Fill out the information as requested on the entry page at https://www.weareroku.com/aarhusuniversity2024. (“Entry”).
For all entries: Each entrant is eligible to submit up to one (1) entry during the Promotion Period, regardless of method or combination of methods of entry or number of entries submitted. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address or other relevant account. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant’s entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated technology or system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. Organizer is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified.
Prizes:
There will be 1 winner selected during the Promotion Period as described above, which will receive a Roku Streambar® – Approximate Retail Value of each Roku Streambar is: 150 Euros. Roku Streambar usage as a streaming player requires creation and activation of Roku account. Creating and activating a Roku account is free. Functionality of Roku Streambar may be limited depending on where used. For more information and terms applicable to Roku Streambar, please visit: https://www.roku.com/products/audio/roku-streambar. Allow six (6) to eight (8) weeks for delivery of the Roku Streambar. Prize will be shipped to an address provided by the winner within the United Kingdom or European Union.
All winners must be at least 18 years of age. Lost or stolen prizes will not be replaced. Prize does not include any other item or benefit not specifically described in these Official Rules, and any additional expenses or follow-up costs are the sole responsibility of winner. Prizes may not be transferred or assigned, and a cash payment is excluded. Only the above-described prizes will be awarded and no other prizes or substitutions will be made. Any valuation of the prizes stated above is based on available information provided to Organizer
Selection of Potential Winners:The odds of winning a prize depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Organizer will randomly select potential winners from all eligible entries shortly after the end of the Promotion Period. Organizer’s decisions as to the administration and operation of the Promotion and the selection of potential winners are final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion. Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or winner and may refuse to award any prize to a person who is ineligible or has violated any rule, gained unfair advantage in participating in the Promotion, or obtained winner status using fraudulent means.
Each potential winner will be notified within 1 business day following the selection by e-mail to the address provided with their entry. Each potential prize winner will be required to provide eligibility confirmation and a shipping address, if necessary, within 3 business days in order to claim a prize. If a potential winner of any prize fails to provide the required information in time, declines the prize, or the prize is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner forfeits the prize. In that event, Organizer will attempt to award the corresponding prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. All alternate potential winners are subject to all requirements set forth in these Official Rules. If the alternate winner also fails to provide the required information in time, declines the prize or prize is returned as undeliverable, such alternate winner forfeits the prize. A second alternate winner will be randomly drawn from among all remaining eligible entries, and if necessary, a third. Afterwards, if also the third alternate winner fails to provide the required information in time, declines the prize or prize is returned as undeliverable, the prize will remain un-awarded.
Privacy: Information submitted by entrants will be collected by Administrator’s systems based in the United States and such collection will be subject to applicable United States laws. Entrants may withdraw personal data upon request; however, entrant will be disqualified if personal data is withdrawn prior to the determination of the winners and fulfillment of the prizes. Information submitted by entrants is subject to Administrator’s privacy policy: https://docs.roku.com/published/userprivacypolicy/en/us. Entrant’s participation in this Promotion constitutes consent for Administrator to use entrant’s personal information solely for the purpose of administering the Promotion and awarding the prizes, unless entrant has opted to receive e-mail communications from Administrator.
Cancellation of Promotion: Administrator reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Promotion, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Promotion Entities’ reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Promotion. In such event, Administrator reserves the right to award the prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment.
LIABILITY:
Organizer is not responsible: (1) for any incorrect or inaccurate information caused or provided by entrants; (2) for technical and/or communications malfunctions, errors or failures of any kind; (3) for unauthorized human intervention in any part of the Promotion; (4) for any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Promotion or use or misuse of any prize; or (5) if the Promotion cannot take place or if any prize cannot be awarded due to acts of war, natural disasters, weather or acts of terrorism.
Nothing herein limits or excludes Organizer's liability for gross negligence and willful misconduct, damages to life, body and health and claims under the Product Liability Act.
The Organizer reserves the right to modify prize award procedures. The Promotion and these Official Rules, and the validity, construction, performance, and enforcement thereof, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than California. Nevertheless, if you are a consumer with residence within the European Union, the mandatory consumer protection laws and regulations applicable in your country of residence apply in any case.
